Braids on Wheels also has a school of braiding where we target young women (all are welcome) to learn not only how to braid but how to start and run any personal business. The owner,  Anissia Gore-Foster who was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, CA, has been braiding for more than 25 years and 10 years experience in marketing and developing her own successful bussinesses. She believes that, "if young women had an opportunity to take control of their destinies by having a trade they could fall back on,  it could turn into a valuable asset that can bring them great wealth." She believes that young women today are in danger of feeling they have to take what is handed to them, but if they had options they would be able to make up their own minds. They would be able to say 'yes' or 'no' whenever they wanted and not have to take any 'Wooden Nickels'. 

Anissia has serviced hundreds of clients over her 25 years in service and has provided opportunities to many young women to break through the cycle of poverty.
